Canberra Balloon Spectacular

2018 Canberra Balloon Spectacular

Saturday 10 to Sunday 18 March

The Spectacular will again be held on the lawns in front of Old Parliament House where a mass of balloons will inflate at sunrise each morning (weather permitting), and after a gentle lift off, fly over the lake and city. Balloons come from all over Australia and overseas.

Become part of the 2018 Canberra Festival Balloon Spectacular and book a PASSENGER flight. Flight costs are as follows.

Weekend flights*: $395 per person or $290 per child aged 6-12.
Weekday flights*: $345 per person or $250 per child aged 6-12.
*Please note: Monday 12 March is the Canberra Day public holiday and at the weekend rate.

All flights during the Spectacular are approximately 45-60 minutes. Following the flight all passengers will be presented with a commemorative flight certificate and offered champagne and a cooked breakfast prepared by the Belconnen Lions Club.

Balloons will start inflating at approximately 6.30am and will be expected to launch at around 7am, so make sure you get up early to see this amazing site. Breakfast can be purchased on the morning from a variety of vendors or bring your own picnic. This is a free community event for spectators.
